Hello, my name is
Clayton Leverett, and I am running for Llano
County Commissioner, Precinct 1. I am a 5th
generation landowner of a working ranch within
the precinct where I live with my beautiful
wife, Julie, and our 1 year old son, Whitman
Clayton Leverett.
After graduating from
Texas Tech University with a BBA, I moved to Austin where I
worked as a property manager for a prominent
real estate development company. I ran various
service crews, negotiated leases, and managed
construction jobs and capital improvements. Each
year, I was responsible for creating a
multi-million dollar zero-based budget for my
approximately 45 buildings and was personally
responsible for every line item in my budget. I
also negotiated, executed and managed multiple
contracts. I use these same skills to
successfully run our ranch here in Llano County.
I am running for Llano County
Commissioner because I passionately believe in
fiscal responsibility, limited government, and
the traditional Christian values that made this
country and the great State of Texas what it is
today. I believe the fundamental core from which
an elected official makes decisions should be
based on these principles when it comes to
making policy and managing our tax dollars. I
know, you think, “this guy sounds like a tea
partier running for a U.S. Senate seat with that
kind of language”, but I strongly believe that
getting our country back to how the founders
intended it means starting from the roots up,
which means at the city and county level. I will
work in coordination with Commissioners Court
and all County officials to
manage our property tax dollars as
effectively and efficiently as possible. I want
to help make the decisions that affect all of us
every day here locally with these overriding
core values that are ingrained so deep within
me. And you can count on me to do just that.
I believe my professional experience
along with my values, my passion for changing
the way that all levels of government seem to be
headed, and my rich family history and devout
love for Llano County qualify me to represent
you as Llano County Commissioner of Precinct 1.
Thank you for visiting my website, and
more importantly, thank you for your VOTE!
